by: Mike Preziotti & Rick Brown

These coins and arrowhead tip were found Mike Preziotti at a Camp Ground while hunting on the Chowan River, N. C., with Rick Brown, on Friday July 27, 2007. The gold coin is a 1983, 1/10 once fine gold, South African, Krugerrand. It has taken me almost 30 years of metal detecting to find my first gold coin.

Club member Steve Warren sent these pictures in of an Eagle Breastplate and a cavalry guidon. The guidon has the Roman numerals "IV" clearly scratched into it and there is also some of the original staff still in it. These items were found near Suffolk, VA.
