May 17, 2008 Open Hunt The Spring Hunt Committee needs your help to ensure great prizes at the hunt. For a quick fundraiser, we decided to put on a raffle with all of the proceeds going to prizes for the hunts. 1st prize is $100.00, 2nd prize is $50.00, and 3rd prize is $25.00. The club member who sells the most raffle ticket wins a 1 oz silver round. Raffle tickets are $1.00 for 1 ticket and $5.00 for 6 tickets. Sherry Ferguson is in charge of the raffle. She will have the tickets at the January meeting. Help us out and sell a book or two of 25 tickets. SPRING HUNT INFO
Flyers
and registration form are on the website. Copies are available at
the meetings. If you pay after May 1st, we
would appreciate cash. Club Coin Clue #1. The coin lies in a Virginia Beach park. The first word in the name is the first word in the name of Shakespeare’s hometown. The second word is the last name of a famous SNL player who rose to fame in several movies. After putting the name together, do like any Civil War general would do. Search there first. #2. The playground is where children play…but if you believed cartoons, what would dogs go to first? Go to theses and head east. The treasure lies on top. OLD BUSINESS Jim Doubler has sent a copy of the patch and I will give to Gary Gray so he can work on having them made. NEW BUSINESS Sherry Ferguson handed out raffle ticket packets to club members. When you have sold your tickets, please hand the money and stubs back to her. Steve Warren is heading up the donations for the Treasure Chest. Don Britt will be supplying the box to place all the items in. You can start to bring in your donations in March. Let’s make this treasure chest as great as last year’s!!!! Because of the growing size of the club, we need input as to a new meeting place. Central Library, club member’s church or other facility will be discussed and possibly a day change if we can get back into Central Library. The issues of refreshments will be discussed at the next meeting. |
