OLD BUSINESS

The club patch was discussed and the changes are as follows:  Tidewater Coin and Relic Club and tc-rc.com will be in red; the sky will be blue without any clouds and the water will be a different blue; the treasure chest will be two shades of brown with black banding; one detector will be silver and the other one will be green; the sand will remain the same; the binding will be either gold or black. There are 8 to 9 colors and the patch will measure 4 inches in diameter. The starfish is still undecided.

 

NEW BUSINESS
 

There is now a FINDS OF THE YEAR TABLE. In January, a table will be set up with four categories -- Coin; Relic; Jewelry and Other. It doesn’t matter if you have entered the find throughout the year or if it has or hasn’t won. This is an opportunity to place your “best find” of the entire year!! Prize will be determined. Thanks to Steve Warren for the suggestion.

Bob Deml will be checking into other hunt’s fees so that we may possibility raise ours to meet the average cost of a hunt. This will also help in having more silver in the hunts. Everyone definitely agreed that this past hunt was exceptional and a complete success.

Steve Warren also brought up increasing the dues. This will only be a slight increase and will be discussed at the next meeting.

I reported on the meeting held regarding metal detecting on Buckroe Beach and will keep members abreast of future information.

 

GUEST SPEAKER

Our club member – Charlie Adamson has some great stories and he will be our guest speaker at the July meeting telling us all about his first find in Alaska!!

REFRESHMENTS
