On an absolutely beautiful day in April 2025 the TC-RC Metal Detecting Club gathered for the annual Spring Hunt.  Most of the club members were there but the ones who were not were sorely missed.
Steve C arrived about sunrise to prepare the two fields.  The fields were bit larger than in years past and were expertly seeded.  Among the treasure to be found was clad coins, silver coins, At least one 1oz silver coin, jewelry and plenty of tokens along with a couple Easter eggs and a surprise Talisman.
The first hunt began just after Steve went over the rules.  With a perimeter of detectorists holding coils in the air he blew the whistle and the hunt was on.  About an hour later the last bit came out of the sand.
The second hunt followed in short order with the same type of start.
Right after the second hunt lunch was served.  Pizza, drinks and plenty of home-made deserts were served and there was enough for seconds.
Right after lunch a third hunt to pull remaining tokes from the sand was held as there were a few tokens still to be found.  The flurry of the searchers proceeded until all tokens were recovered.
The crew then gathered, and prizes were awarded to the lucky members who recovered prize tokens.
All in all it was a great hunt with a lot of treasure as well as plenty of comradery.  Judging from the smiles everyone enjoyed the event.
